The reserves took on an inform St Bedes team on their home ground with both teams trying to win their tenth win for the season.
The intensity and quick movement of the ball was evident in the first quarter from both teams .However our in ability to stop them winning the clearances and lack of accountability resulted in 6 goals to 2 first quarter.
They were very good at switching the ball and running down the wing and hitting up a forward who would convert. The backline were well led by Nick Amarto,Sam Quennell and Charlie Cumbrae Stewart in the first half being under enormous pressure St Bedes led by 7 goals at half time.
The second half we improved in all our indicators which resulted in 7 goals to one in the third quarter. Ed Mitchell was winning the hit outs and were well read by Tim McLardy ,Charlie Wilmoth ,Ben McKie and Tim Davis with excellent delivery into our forward line to the leading Lachie Bennett and running Billy Hatfield. We had now lost 3 players through injury and the last was going to be tough. The last quarter was tight for the first ten minutes then we levelled the score but with 12 minutes to play they went forward on four occasions and converted to end up running away to a 29 point win.
