OM's Vanquished by Varsity
Last week, University Blues recorded their first win of the season and were naturally full of confidence facing bottom placed OM's. However the OM's played a fantastic first half of football, and many of the Uni boys went into half time fearing that their winning streak would be cut at one. However, the longer the third term went, the more Uni fought back, and by 3/4 time, thanks to a strong breeze, had their noses in front by a solitary point. OM's, although looking to be tiring, would come home with the aid of a 5 goal wind, and everyone was poised for the breakthrough win we so desperately need to kick start the season. ALas, despite the first goal and plenty of early play, Uni dominated the last term, uncontested play and plenty of run through the middle to kick 5 goals into the wind to OM's one. It was a meek finish to a start the had promised so much. Plenty has to change.
OMFC 12.11.83 defeated by University Blues 16.14.110
Cam Beck managed to snare 4 goals, whilst Josh Freezer was a standout in his return from the Bendigo Bombers. Jonno Nash continued his excellent form and Mike Davis and Phil Young were solid contributors across the back-line.
Again OM's fared better in the other grades with wins to the Clubbies and 3rds. Perhaps most excitingly, the Unders had their first win of the year, and coach Anthony Conti was understandably delighted.

U19’s Victorious!
The Unders, who have been building form week by week, finally broke their duck on the weekend with a fighting finish to defeat Uni Blacks.
OMFC 12.11.83 defeated Uni Blacks 11.13.79
Down by 20 points at the last change, the lads could have won by more had they not kicked 4.8 in the last quarter, restricting Blacks to just the one goal. Keep it up boys - the future of our club is looking bright with fighting spirit like this!
Clubbies Undefeated!

A much better test than the previous two 100 pointers! Ed Wettenhall led the way as the Stars kept top spot with a percentage of 313% and undefeated after 6 rounds.
