The OMFC and Melbourne Grammar School’s Marn Grook Club will jointly host a breakfast to celebrate the School’s long history with the game of Aussie Rules. To be held on Wednesday 21st July, 7am at the MCG (where else!), this should be a fantastic way to kick off the working day, with guest appearances from two of our better known recent graduates Tom Hawkins and Xavier Ellis, Age journo Martin Flanagan, and the always entertaining Tony Leonard as MC. A special highlight will be the inauguration of the Peter Beaumont Medal, to commemorate the great work done by Peter to help get football back to a place of prominence in the school’s sporting program. The medal will be presented annually to the best player for MGS in the Cordner-Egglestone Cup, as judged by the Presidents of OMFC and Marn Grook.
All OMFC members and supporters are invited and encouraged to form Tables of 10. In particular those players who played either at the School with the Beaumont boys or who still play with James, Jeremy and Toby now at OMFC are encouraged to get along for what should be a fantastic morning.
