Result Old Melburnians 31.14-200 defeated Old Haileybury 2-2 -14

If one was to look at the result one would think it was a one sided affair but Old Hailebury were far from disgraced as they worked extremely hard over the 4 quarters. Nevertheless they were well beaten by an OM side that were determined to make every post a winner. 

Undoubtedly we had numerous winners over the day, in particular the forwards, who had a field day being fed by the onballers. Myer, Zayler and Breen stood out with some notable contributions from Yoxford Rous and Sammie Dunell.

Next week we play Ormond at Gunn Reserve where the opposition will be a lot stronger and provide a good indication on what the finals may hold. With Caulfield on the same points as Ormond and all the top 6 sides playing each other over the next 3 weeks anything could happen as all teams jockey for the top 4 positions.
